My Top 5 Podcasts Right Now

#1 : THE ED MYLETT SHOW

This podcast has quickly become one of my favorites!

A few months ago, I had NO idea who the hell Ed Mylett was. I think I stumbled upon his podcast due to an IG story, and I’m SO glad that I did.  Prior to becoming a huge social media influencer, Ed was just your typical, humdrum millionaire with an impressive background in business and athletics. Then, his good friend TONY FRICKEN ROBBINS convinced him that he needed to branch out and start sharing his gifts with the world via social media.

The result?

This podcast, amongst MANY other things. ( See Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

Every week Ed has a new guest on, and I leave feeling uplifted, inspired, and as though I’ve learned something new. It’s the perfect listen for when you roll out of bed and want to start your day off on a positive note, or when you need a motivational kick in the pants to get off your butt and get moving.

I like to listen to it when I go for my morning walks, or when I’m driving to work. Yay!

#2 : The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast

It’s not what it sounds like, I promise. The “Skinny” in Confidential is referring to them giving us “the skinny’, aka the low down – and has nothing to do with being physically thin, thank god.

Anyways, this is entrepreneurial podcast is a DUO show led by married couple Lauryn Evarts and Michael Bosstick.

I love it because they do not sensor themselves, and have no problem talking shit to each other. However, they also know how to stay on topic and are extremely respectful of the guests on the show and their time.

And, they always have INCREDIBLE guests.

From Jessica Alba to entrepreneurs and influencers that I’ve never heard of, I am constantly impressed with the caliber of guests that they have on this show! There is definitely a nice, diverse blend.

Lauryn and Michael do a great job of seamlessly transitioning from lighthearted to serious questions and topics. It’s also pretty entertaining to listen to their different views and opinions as woman and man. #LovesIt

#3 : Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations

This podcast is inspiring, thoughtful, and practical.

Oprah and her guests provide easily applicable advice that you can start employing in your day to day life, right there as you listen. As someone who has always liked Oprah, but never really sat down to watch a full episode of her show on television – this podcast has had me binging from the moment that I found it!

#4 : Chardonnay & Slay Your Business

THIS PODCAST IS THE KICK IN THE PANTS THAT GOT ME TO CREATE MY FIRST E-BOOK.

Yes, seriously.

6 months ago I had already been doing business somewhat half-assedly online, but I knew I needed to elevate and come out with an original product. However, due to the fact it was new and therefore “scary”, I kept procrastinating.

Enter, the Chardonnay & Slay Your Business hosted by Jamie King, The Slay Coach.

Jamie’s no excuses, no BS approach to doing business was just what I needed.

She constantly drops HUGE, free nuggets of practical AND thoughtful advice on her show…things that were so helpful to me, it gave me the spark to create my first website and e-book.

If you’re an entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur, this podcast is an absolute MUST LISTEN!

FAVORITE EPISODE : I HONESTLY CANNOT PICK ONE

 # 5: Root of Evil

I’m flipping the script on you guys!

This true crime podcast dives into the untold story of George Hodel, the primary suspect in the murder of Elizabeth Short in 1947.

You may know this case by its media name, the Black Dahlia Murder.

One thing that caught my attention immediately is the fact that the podcast is hosted by George Hodel’s great granddaughters, Yvette Gentile and Rasha Pecoraro.

Together they interview other surviving family members of the Hodel family, piecing together an an incredibly horrifying, painful, yet triumphant story about survivorship.

If you’re interested in learning about the true events surrounding the Black Dahlia Murder…you know, the ones that inspired countless books, movies, and even TNT’s new drama series I Am The Night – this is the podcast for you.

(*Trigger Warning: Explicit descriptions of sexual abuse, physical abuse, & molestation.*)

FAVORITE EPISODE : I can let you know once I finish the show!
